Streamlined musculoskeletal trauma management

At Skin + Bone Clinic we have developed a coordinated urgent care pathway led by a highly specialised team of Orthopaedic surgeons, to provide care for any suspected fractures and acute soft tissue injuries.

This aims to give you confidence that we will make the right diagnosis and link you with the most appropriate surgeon or care provider at the right time.

Fees

The Rapid Access Trauma Service provides a two staged fee

Triage and recommendation of treatment advice
($150 – Medicare rebate available with eligible referral)

Advanced assessment and initial treatment/splinting ($350)

Imaging referral

If face to face assessment and non-surgical management is required, an appointment will be offered within 1-2 business days

If further specialist consultation is necessary, you will be offered an appointment within 5 business days of your injury and referral

SURGERY

Contacted within 24 hours

Booked for surgery or specialist appointment within 3-5 days

Contacted within 24 hours

Provided diagnosis and recommend management plan and provide options for suitable allied health rehab providers

Surgery

Fees – further informed financial consent will be provided by your surgeon based on surgery required)

Fitted with splint, orthotic or sling
Follow up in surgeon rooms
Follow up with local allied health specialist and/or GP
